A trip to East Coast Park
Yesterday, was Youth day school holiday, so decided my parents brought me and my sis to East Coast Park to cycle. When we reach there, I could not wait to start cycling. As it was afternoon time, the sun was blazing hot. Luckily, my mother brought my hat for me. Otherwise, I'll be roasted meat!
First, we went to the nearby bicycle rental shop. I picked the bicycle that I wanted, while my father paid the money. Soon, we were all cycling happily towards the jetty to feel the sea breeze. My sister and I had a competition to see who could cycle faster. Eventually, I reached the jetty first and won my sister.
At the jetty, I saw two "windmills" and solar panels , which were actually for collecting energy to power the lamposts attached to it at night. There were many people fishing at the jetty. It was so windy that my hat nearly flew away! Soon, we decided to leave the jetty. My mother told me that we cannot cycle to far away as she can see rain clouds at the far end of the park.
Soon, we began cycling again. I like the lovely feeling of the wind blowing againest my face. I saw people cycling, walking their dogs, wind-surfing and jogging. I felt very happy. After a while we decided to take a break and go to the beach. We left our bicycles in a corner while we went to the beach. I saw fishes and corals washed ashore. I even saw a crab! My sister picked a few seashells as a memento. My mother could see the rain clouds approaching, so she advised us to go back.
We quickly got onto our bikes and cycled back to the bicycle rental shop. After we returned the bikes, we went to the hawker centre to hve some food. My father ordered satay, duck rice and chendol for us to eat and sugarcane juice for us to drink. As soon as we started eating, it started to rain. We quickly finished our food and decided to go home. After we finished our food it was raining heavily, so we waited for it to stop before running to the car to go home.
That day I enjoyed myself a lot. I hope I could go to East Coast Park again.
